Igor Alexandrovich Bourganov was born in Moscow in 1973. He
graduated from the Moscow State Artistic and Industrial University
( Stroganov University).
He had practice in the London Royal Academy of Fine Arts and in
the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
Since 2004 Honoured Artists of Russia.
He is the Moscow Prize-Winner of 1999, the author of the widely
famous art-action “The Blue Bird of Happiness”. The image of The
Blue Bird created by the artist was used for design of different
architectural objekts. For instance, in the monument to the Fallen
Soldiers in Belgium.
At present he is the Director of the Moscow State Museum “The
Bourganov’s House”.
